To Jesus Through Mary:Ave, Alma Mater

My Dear friends of Cathedral Prep,

You have always been extremely generous to Cathedral Prep and I take this opporunity to once again thank you. Over the past 90 years Cathedral Preparatory Seminary has achieved a great deal in both Brooklyn and Queens. The graduates have served The Church faithfully as ordained and lay leaders particuarly in the Brooklyn and Rockville Center Doiceses. In order to ensure the next 90 years, we have embarked on an exciting yet challenging endeavor. The schools leadership recognizes the need to meet current capital needs and significantly bolster our endowment. The Bishop and The resources of the Diocese of Brooklyn have been extremely generous in the support of the Seminary. However, the funds of the Diocese alone cannot be expected to meet every need. We therefore invite all to participate in our most important and ambitious project ever.

It is through the To Jesus Through Mary:Ave, Alma Mater campaign that we hope to secure a place for all students who feel the call as they seek the Prep as a place for spiritual guidance through their discernment process. Please, prayerfully consider a gift to this significant effort.

With the ever increasing shortage of priests, Cathedral Prep Seminary is as important as it ever has been. Your financial help, as well as, your prayers are necessary to help increase our ability to further the work of the Church in the generations to come.

So I invite all to recognize that the responsibilty of the continued success of Cathedral and the Church is a shared one. We are all called to play an important part and look forward to hearing from all of you as you answer that call.

Former Rector-Principal Msgr. Vincent A. Keane, from the Class of 1952 and former Alumni Association President Mr. Raymond Ferrara, from the Class of 1968 have graciously accepted the positions of Co-Chair for the campaign

We ask for your continued help and support.

If I can be of any assistance to you or your family please contact me by phone at Cathedral or email. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep me in yours.

Prayerfully,

Sister Mary Ann Tirelli
